Acorns is the first class at Neroche Primary School and is home to our preschool children from aged 2. Our aim within our preschool setting is to ignite and nurture a love for learning so that the children in our care become lifelong learners.
Our preschool is very much a part of the whole school community and, whilst it has a separate, specifically designed, EYFS building, it has the advantage of access to our diverse range of school facilities, including: our extensive school grounds and Forest School area for outdoor learning; the EYFS and KS1 shared playground; the school hall for PE sessions (including a weekly session with a qualified sports coach); and shared resources with our Reception Class.
The children learn through carefully chosen topics and activities that follow their own interests and support their next steps in learning and development. Through careful planning, the children in Acorns have ownership over their learning, and understand from an early age that learning is exciting, fun and continuous.
