This is COVID specific.
|Where possible do you conduct the training outside?||This is sensible practice inline with guidance however the hall can be used for PE.
Teachers are asked to open windows if using the hall for PE to ensure ventilation.
|Do you ensure a register is taken at the start of each session?||Registers are taken twice a day in line with Primary School attendance.||Yes|
|Do you ensure anyone with any COVID-19 symptoms does not attend the session?||Children with COVID symptoms will have been sent home and won't participate.||Yes|
|Do you ensure good hand washing practices before and after the session?||Children will be encouraged to use hand sanitiser as part of good hygiene practice.||Yes|
|Do you try to minimise the use of sharing equipment? E.G. Tennis rackets, bibs etc.||This is no longer needed - however it is good hygiene practice for equipment to periodically be cleaned by class adults and the subject lead.||Yes|
|Does the activity allow participants to keep at a safe distance from each other?||Classes will access PE as a whole class.
BUBBLES are no longer needed or required.
|Changing rooms are an area of increased risk of transmission. It is important that social distancing is maintained in changing rooms and showers. Are arrangements in place to keep participants separated? E.g. tape marking distances on floor.||Children are coming into school wearing PE kit on PE days to avoid changing and to maximise active time in lessons.
EYFS children are only changing once so coming in wearing school uniform but not changing back into school uniform and staying in PE kit for the remainder of the day.
