Do you have adequate First Aid provision in the school? Yes we have adequate staff trained in first aid and first aid kits in each classroom.

We have staff trained in emergency first aid, full first aid, workplace first aid and paediatric first aid.

What arrangements do you have in place if either an employee, visitor or pupil starts to feel unwell or shows symptoms of Covid-19? They need to be isolated until they can go home.
Children will be isolated in the headteachers office with windows open.
COVID room bomb/sanitiser used once the person has left to sanitise the space.

Where first aid is required do you ensure that people not involved in the incident remain more than 2 metres away from the scene? THIS IS NO LONGER NEEDED.

Where first aid is required do you have and ensure that staff with responsibilities to administer First Aid to suspected Covid-19 individuals wear Personal Protective Equipment prior to commencing treatment? (e.g. gloves/apron/fluid resistant mask/safety glasses) see https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/safe-working-in-education-childcare-and-childrens-social-care If a member of staff has to administer first aid to someone who has COVID symptoms PPE will be worn, gloves, apron, mask. Yes
Do you ensure that there is still sufficient PPE to care for those individuals requiring intimate care needs? PPE is already available for staff involved with intimate care. Yes
Where first aid is required, do you assess the situation to identify any infection control measures that need to be put in place before commencing CPR, if required? Staff members are not asked to administer rescue breaths as a requirement. All staff members have the flexibility to make their own decision if and when the situation presents. Yes
Are you aware that you should only apply chest compressions during CPR and to avoid rescue breaths unless it’s deemed to be absolutely necessary? Yes see above. Yes
Do you ensure that the area is cleaned thoroughly following treatment, including the disposal of PPE and any other materials that have been contaminated with blood or bodily fluids? Yes this is best practice anyway. Yes
Have you reviewed your PEEPs for children needing extra assistance during emergencies? We have PEEPs in place for children who need this.
